The Point Four WEDGE-LOCK is a modular system of microbubble diffusers and end sets that fit together to form a bank of up to eight units. Oxygenation capacity can be increased (or decreased) as your needs demand by simply changing the number of diffusers used for greater flexibility and minimal downtime. Designed for total ease of use, WEDGE-LOCK™ modules ‘Twist and Lock’ together to form an air-tight seal without the use of tools. Hose with push-in fittings connects the diffuser banks to the gas supply, significantly reducing set-up time and effort. Manufactured from tough plastic, WEDGE-LOCK™ will not corrode and is resistant to the Sun’s ultraviolet rays. The diffuser’s streamlined wedge shape improves stability in tanks with high water flow and offers less resistance in self-cleaning tank systems.
Following successful field trials of a new micro bubble diffuser designed for the fish farming industry, Mantec has now launched an enhanced variant of the product into the market place under the brand CORALith. Building on our heritage of supplying more than 300,000 ceramic diffusers in the past 20 years, this new micro bubble diffuser introduces very small bubbles into the body of water, resulting in more surface area per unit volume and greater oxygen transfer exchange. In addition, agglomeration of bubbles as they rise to the surface is minimised.
Mantec has been active in the supply of ceramic diffusers into the aquaculture sector since the 1990s. In recent times, the sector is increasingly demanding diffusers which produce the finest bubbles to ensure adequate and efficient oxygenation of the water in which fish are farmed. The need for finer bubbles is grounded on maximising the oxygen transfer at greater water depths. With this in mind Sterner's new Mantec diffuser is based on a porous ceramic tube, having a closely controlled pore size of one micron. This results in even, fine bubbles to produce efficient oxygen transfer. Fitted with two square stainless steel end caps, the CORALith diffuser assembly can be positioned in the tank in any horizontal orientation, without the operator having to be concerned that the diffuser is sitting flat on the base of the tank. The diffuser assembly is designed with a replaceable ceramic tube. Furthermore, the diffuser has been designed to minimise any potential leak paths, thereby ensuring the efficiency of oxygen transfer. Thanks to its robust construction, the operator need not be concerned about removing the diffuser from the tank when the oxygen feed remains switched on. In addition, the hose tail coupling does not rely on push-fit connections, instead it is secured with a British Standard Pipe thread to provide a secure connection with the mating hose.

The OxyGuard Handy MaxiTemp 2 temperature meter, is a small electronic thermometer specially designed to meet the demands of fish farmers and other professional people for a rugged, reliable and accurate thermometer with data logging function. It has a measuring range of -5 to +45°C with an accuracy of +/- 0.1°, and will measure up to +60°C with an accuracy of +/- 0.2°C. The probe is manufactured in plastic and sea-water resistant stainless steel, and is connected to the display with a 1.5 m cable. Both probe and display are sealed and waterproof. Values can be stored either automatically at preset time intervals, or manually. You can group values according to the place of measurement. Stored values can be transferred to a PC using the Polaris Link, which connects to the PC via a USB cable. The MaxiTemp is 96mm in diameter by 36mm. The MA-45 is used as an interface converter between RS-232 / V.24 and RS-422 / 485 or when point-to-point communication with speeds up to 155.2 kbit / s is required. The unit accepts communication over 2 or 4 wires over distances up to 1200 metres and with 32 loads in bus-oriented applications. For 2-wire communication, the direction of the communication is controlled via the data flow. The converter detects the data and changes the communication direction by reversing it in accordance with the arrival direction of the data. This makes it possible to connect equipment that is unable to process status signals. The MA-45 is a standalone unit. One or more repeaters make it possible to increase the communication distance or connect more units to the bus.
