Suited to the industrial sector, the lower capacity ECB suits batch process, where a longer service life is not required. For 2019, the carbon formulation has been upgraded, significantly improving chlorine removal efficiency to 60% from 35%, serving for a more reliable and dependable economic block. Manufactured using acid washed bituminous carbon, a highly microporous structure targets larger organic molecules such as benzene. This ensures the removal of ash and reduces rinse-up fines often found with non-acid washed bituminous carbon. Available in 3 micron sizes, the ECB offers flexibility to suit different applications where sediment could plug the carbon before service life is achieved.
Re-innovation of a modern media allows a greater void volume to improve dirt holding capacity and flow rates, while new technology allows greater carbon attachment to fibres, creating the ultimate high-flow carbon cartridges. This media has allowed for speciality solutions such as the SPECTRUM SFBC-PB. Building on the SFBC this cartridge brings the focus of lead removal. Four times higher lead removal than the industry standard makes this cartridge the ideal solution for soft water areas or borehole feeds with lead piping. The SFBC-PB offers equivalent chlorine removal to the SFBC. To maximise the lifespan of the SFBC-PB, we recommend using a 5-micron pre-filtration stage, ensuring the best performance and delivering unbeatable lead removal in a simple cartridge format.
The SPECTRUM range of Inox single round bag housings in industry standard sizes 1, 2, 3 and 4 are designed where long-life and high flow rates are required.
