Through its accurate combination of double bed media, cartridges perform a pH adjustment of your drinking water followed by a reduction of iron and manganese concentration, diminishing the metallic taste of your drinking water with NSF-approved advanced blend filtration media for more effective water treatment. Iron in a concentration as low as 0,3 mg/l can become a source of yellow to dark-brown stains often found in sinks, toilets and other plumbing fixtures. If iron is present in detectable amounts it can ruin the taste of tea, coffee and beverages.

  • Aquafilter FCCFE 10″ Iron removal cartridges filled with NSF approved media.

They reduce the concentration of iron and manganese in water. Iron in a concentration as low as 0,3 mg/l can become a source of yellow to dark-brown stains often found in sinks, toilets and other plumbing fixtures. If iron is present in detectable amounts it can ruin the taste of tea, coffee and beverages. Manganese is much more annoying than iron. Even low concentrations of this element ( > 0,05 mg/l) create dark-brown or black stains on everything with which it comes in contact.

FCCFE series cartridges are dedicated for cold water filtration.

    IMPORTANT!
Please do not put the iron filter cartridge directly under pressure, but first insert a few minutes in water. When you first insert the cartridge in the water without pressure, this action swells the filter granulate and fills the entire cartridge housing. This prevents the pressing of the filter granules. When you put the cartridge directly under pressure, the filter granulate is compressed and as a result, the passage of water is greatly restricted.
